Overview

The Assembler II Technician will report to Manufacturing Supervisor. This assembly position performs a wide variety of assembly products. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing membrane in different sizes, fitting on assembly units, testing units, packaging and entering date in the Lot History Record per product line. The employee also works as a team member in whatever capacity and job function is required to deliver a quality product to our customer in a timely fashion.

 

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm

Responsibilities

  • Perform manual assembly of complex fiber, membrane, and polycarbonate components.​
  • Follow detailed manufacturing and assembly procedures.​
  • Comply with Good Documentation Practices when creating, documenting and reviewing quality records.
  • Responsible for packaging products, assembly of kits, verifies form, fit, and function on products, assemble and package product according to the BOM
  • Operates small hand and power tools to assemble products
  • Identifies quality problems and follows reporting procedures
  • Follows job traveler requirements for assembly and verification
  • Able to perform work on more than one product line
  • Use appropriate equipment to print necessary labels for products
  • Understand blueprints and standard work instructions and apply them according to  job   specifications
  • Provide leadership and work flow guidance on product line as necessary
  • Ability to train employees in all areas of the assembly department
  • Follow good manufacturing practices per company operating procedures.​
  • Clean, maintain, and operate automated production equipment per SOP's.​
  • Clean and organize workbenches before and after shift.​
  • Train new personnel on manufacturing procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • 1-3 years of medical device assembly experience.
  • Experience working with hand tools, power tools, and test equipment and good understanding of basic computer applications.

Physical Requirements: 

  • Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to sit; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include Peripheral vision and Depth perception.
  • Regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration
  • Occasionally exposed to fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals or airborne particles
  • Primarily indoor cleanroom work with usually loud noise level
  • Occasional work outside of the cleanroom

The estimated base salary range for this role, based in the United States of America is $19.90 - $20.87. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to an individual's qualifications, location, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
