Overview

 

This assembly position will be responsible for building flow control assemblies and surface finishing. This requires the understanding and adherence to follow the work instructions and ensure that the assembly processes and finished good specifications are met. This assembler level has the capability to perform duties with the guidance of leads, subject matter experts and/or supervisors.

 

Responsibilities

·       Perform hand assembly of valve components using common hand tools (i.e. screw drivers, pliers, cordless drill, vise, air hose)

·       Operates small hand and power tools to assemble products

·       Performs surface finishing activities; deburring, sand blasting and electropolishing.

·       Follow detailed manufacturing and assembly procedures.​

·       Follows job traveler requirements for assembly and verification.

·       Understand drawings and standard work instructions and apply them according to job specifications.

·       Follows process order requirements for assembly and verification

·       Follow good manufacturing practices per company operating procedures.​

·       Comply with Good Documentation Practices when creating, documenting, and reviewing quality records.

·       Communicate all pertinent information and advise direct Supervisor of any problems.

·       Identifies quality problems and follows reporting procedures

·       Clean and organize workbenches before and after shift.​

·       Supports other Operations Departments processes; Shipping and Inventory as needed.

·       Actively participates in team activities and the accomplishment of team goals.

·       May perform work on more than one product line and follow the schedule provided
·       Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

·       Perform other duties as assigned or required by Mfg. Leads/Supervisors. 

 

 

 

Qualifications

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

 

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.  
  • 0-1 years of produciton/manufacturing with medical device assembly experience preferred

Physical requirements: 

 

  • Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to probe, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
  • Sensory perception through fingers and hearing necessary to detect parts interfering or leaking.
  • Frequently required to sit; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • Must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration
  • Occasionally exposed (working in proximity) to air noise, fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals or airborne particles (PPE Provided)

The estimated base salary range for this role, based in the United States of America is USD $18.19/Hr.-USD $20.55/Hr. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to an individual's qualifications, location, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, employees are eligible to participate in one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
