Overview

The Receiving Clerk (RC) has primary responsibility for receiving incoming materials and ensuring the received items correspond with the matching Purchase Order. The RC is responsible for performing the corresponding transactions in the ERP System that match the physical transfer of product to its correct internal location.

 

The RC will also assist with daily shipping of customer orders (packaging, transactions in ERP, AWB generation and customs paperwork), as well as shipping RMAs to vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for physically receiving incoming materials
    • Unpacking
    • Verify the incoming material matches the packing list and the Purchase Order
    • Verify quantity (physical count)
    • Verify adequacy of documentation/certificates received and scanned into system
  • Route received items to proper departments in timely manner.
  • Responsible for performing the corresponding transactions in the ERP system
  • Responsible for cycle counts on inventory and customer supplied materials.
  • Keeps supplier documentation organized/scanned (questionnaires, CoA, technical documentation)
  • Communicate non-conforming products to purchasing and quality
  • Provide assistance/backup for Sr. Shipping Clerk
  • Prepares shipments for commercial conveyance.
  • Prepares bills of lading; checks items to be shipped against work orders to ascertain that quantities, destination, and routing are correct.
  • Accurately package, label and weigh items to be shipped and ensure proper shipment method and shipping charges
  • Prepare detailed and accurate invoices to accompany shipments and ensure all items are packaged and shipped to company standards
  • Organize stock and merchandise within the warehouse by properly boxing and storing goods in their designated location
  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Experience with software such as Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and ERP Systems
  • Interpersonal skills are essential, as working as a team is vital to maintaining an organized warehouse
  • Ability to problem solve quickly and prioritize daily tasks according to their importance
  • Personal accountability and integrity are paramount, as a clerk is tasked with an accurate accounting of all inventory
  • Relevant customer service experience is a plus as clerks interact with vendors/customers to replace lost or damaged goods
  • Usage of DHL, FedEx, UPS web applications for shipping

Responsibilities include overseeing the flow of goods and services throughout the organization, monitoring this process of all incoming and outgoing goods

Qualifications

  • Warehouse, 1 year required
  • Forklift experience a plus
  • SAP and Microsoft Office preferred
  • Must be able to work in a standing environment
  • Lift, pull, push up to 50 pounds

The estimated base salary range for this role, based in the United States of America is $21.73/Hr. - $25.77/Hr. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to an individual's qualifications, location, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
