Overview

The Strategic Marketing Manager role for Fluid Management leads the development and execution of the global marketing strategy, tactics, and campaigns for downstream chromatography systems, flow paths and hollow fibers. This position will be a key contributor to the business unit and be an integral part to bring the overall growth of the business unit to the next level with their vision, creativity, and experience.

The ideal candidate will have a natural ability to combine creative storytelling with technical information. This individual will have strong and proven experience in global product commercialization, will develop marketing content and will outline complex customer journeys that engage different levels of the customer’s value chain as part of the overall demand generation strategy.  Success will require the ability to gain alignment of different stakeholders in a matrixed organization, to manage expectations, and to execute on agreed deliverables for complex projects in a timely manner. The incumbent will develop integrated and multi-channel marketing strategies and the respective tactical calendar to achieve the marketing KPIs and overall chromatography business unit and Repligen company revenue targets. This role reports to the Global Director of Strategic Marketing, Downstream Systems and Fluid Management.

  • Collaborate with the Product Management team, Business Leaders, and Commercial leaders in developing strategic, integrated marketing plans utilizing customer segmentation, market trends and competitive analysis for their product portfolio.
  • Lead the development and execution of effective marketing campaigns to drive growth and adoption of key product lines and solutions and generate high quality marketing qualified leads. 
  • Participate as needed in tradeshows, corporate events, online seminar series and other multi-business unit product campaigns representing their portfolio in the context of the total Repligen offering.
  • Develop actionable workplans and milestones that align with business objectives, timelines, and budget to deliver on the agreed tactics; lead internal teams and occasionally for collateral development and marketing program implementation.
  • Communicate and drive alignment on priorities, key initiatives, and messaging.
  • Create and manage the customer facing story. Transform highly technical content into engaging, conversational, SEO/SEM-optimized, and customer-focused digital content for multiple channels including web and social, delivering a powerful value proposition and product differentiation
  • Responsible for writing and graphical conception for brochures, e-mail campaigns, video production, product web pages, sales tools, and customer presentations with clear, concise, technically accurate and effective compositions within brand and style.
  • Together with the Product Management and Applications Team, build a strategic partnership to produce technical data for the creation of impactful technical collateral.
  • Collaborate with the digital team and stakeholders to measure and report content effectiveness through KPIs. Use insights from various sources of analytics to improve content and content strategies as well as to optimize campaigns when necessary.
  • Act as a business unit partner to the Global Marketing team - a true strategic marketer and brand ambassador, understanding, upholding, and representing the business unit strategy in all aspects of the global marketing ecosystem.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

 

  • BS in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a relevant field. MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 6+ years of relevant marketing experience in the life sciences, biopharma, or bioprocessing technologies. Cell Culture, Chromatography and Filtration experience is a plus.
  • Strong creative perspective and experience working on a variety of marketing campaigns from inception to completion to bring fresh ideas to our marketing campaigns in a collaborative manner.
  • Candidate should understand the 4P’s and have demonstrated experience in brand marketing, market/customer segmentation, value proposition development, competitive analysis, marketing communications, and digital and traditional Go-to-Market strategies in a highly technical environment.
  • Ability to rapidly absorb detailed product information and technology value proposition and translate this information into correct messaging and written content to be used across all marketing tactics and channels in an engaging, impactful, and accurate way.
  • Ability to clearly convey concepts and strategies in verbal/written communications.
  • Superb cross-functional and project management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively on multiple projects with competing priorities.
  • Experience with conducting effective meetings and strong presentation skills.
  • Appropriately shares own viewpoint and opinions, even when they may be negative or unpopular. Encourages the free exchange of information and opinion.
  • Comfortable in a global, fast-paced, rapidly growing and highly matrixed environment

  • Travel up to 20% of the time may be required to visit customers, lead tradeshows and support sales teams in the field.

The estimated base salary range for this role, based in the United States of America is $133,600-$162,056. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to an individual's qualifications, location, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, employees are eligible to participate in one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
