Overview

Repligen's Process Analytics Development team is looking for an electrical engineering / hardware engineering leader. We work across a range of diverse technologies from advanced sensing, imaging, and spectroscopy/spectrometry to microfluidics and materials science. We are seeking an experienced engineer who is curious, nimble and eager to work in an interdisciplinary team of engineers and scientists designing the analytics tools used to develop and produce tomorrow’s breakthrough therapeutics. 

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to design system solutions to customer needs
  • Investigate and develop designs for PCB to address technical needs, perform simulation as required, PCB layout as required
  • Evaluate sensors, transducers, emission sources against technical requirements for development projects
  • Work with team on assembly and test of prototype systems
  • Assign with debug and improvements to prototype designs
  • Develop documentation and, as required, test documentation for production designs

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in sophisticated mixed-signal PCB design, including digital electronics, sensor interfaces, power distribution, FPGAs, processors, and system-on-chip (SoC) architectures
  • Hands-on experience with a range of technologies, including electrical sensors/transducers, optical modulation systems, detectors, motion control and imaging systems
  • Able to quickly contribute to complex custom PCB projects with minimal oversight
  • Works and communicates effectively within cross-disciplinary teams of scientists and engineers to solve practical and commercial challenges
  • Enjoys collaborating at a system engineering level, as well as prototype builds/bring-up and improvements and test
  • Familiarity with contemporary compliance standards and EMI/EMC requirements
  • Possesses strong knowledge of scientific principles, enabling the translation of high-level system requirements into precise electronic design specifications
  • Experience in design-for-manufacturing (DFM), production fixturing, and modern testing methodologies, including automated testing standards
  • Proficiency in Altium or similar industry-standard design tools, working in shared design environments, and modern PCB design/development practices
