Overview

Under general supervision, the individual is responsible for organizing, moving, and transporting production materials, support materials, and equipment within their assigned area. This role involves utilizing both manual and powered material handling equipment to ensure the efficient movement of goods. Additionally, the individual may operate packaging equipment to prepare materials for shipment or storage, ensuring proper handling and safe transportation at all times. This position will report to Production Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Safely locate, pick, move, and store materials and equipment following both written and verbal instructions.
  • Unload and store materials in designated locations, while performing receiving transactions accurately.
  • Operate material handling equipment such as hand and powered pallet movers, forklifts, and powered packing tools like banders and shrink wrappers.
  • Foster strong employee relations across departments and provide cross-functional support as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records using both paper forms and digital systems.
  • Adhere to all safety rules and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Keep work areas and equipment clean, organized, and well-maintained.
  • Identify and report any operational issues, faulty equipment, defective materials, or unusual conditions to the supervisor.
  • Count items and inspect for shipping/packaging damage.
  • Maintain and update required records, and move materials as necessary to fulfill duties. Conduct cycle counts as scheduled.
  • Understand and apply the Quality Assurance system in daily tasks.
  • Support the supervisor/manager in enhancing production control systems, standard operating procedures, safety protocols, quality control, and performance management.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing operations.
  • Obtain and maintain certification for powered industrial truck operation, and keep daily logs up to date.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
  • Proficient in using scanning guns for inventory management.
  • Familiar with BIN or material transfer processes.
  • Experience in inventory control, bin checking, and daily counting.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail.
  • Quick learner with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.

Qualifications

High School diploma with 2+ years experience:

  • Warehouse: 2 years (Required)
  • Material Handler: 2 years (Required)
  • SAP: 2 year (Required)

Physical Requirements:

 

  • Must be able to stand and walk regularly
  • Lift, pull, push up to 40-50 lbs
  • Occasionally climb, stoop, or kneel
  • Able to work in a warehouse environment

The estimated base salary range for this role, based in the United States of America is $26.00 - $29.00 per hour. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to an individual's qualifications, location, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, employees are eligible to participate in one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
