Overview

A HFF Casting Operator Level 1 is responsible for all details pertaining to the production of extruded hollow fiber membranes for use in bio-separation filters.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for accurately completing and processing all documents necessary for tracking extrusion operations, including databases.
  • Perform preventive maintenance according to Standard Operating Procedures
  • Participates in all line changeovers.
  • Aid in performing Installation Qualifications, Process Qualifications, and other validation activities as required by Engineering.
  • Maintain consumable stock (i.e., bags, labels, tapes, and other casting-specific items)
  • Communicate all pertinent information at shift change and advise the direct Supervisor of any problems.
  • Comply with applicable FDA and international regulatory laws/standards and the Repligen Code of Conduct.

Qualifications

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • Must be able to read, write and comprehend English.
  • 2-3 years of fiber extrusion-related experience.
  • Knowledge of 5S techniques and Lean Manufacturing Skills.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, feel, and talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to sit; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Exerting up to 60 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.
  • Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and reaching.

The estimated base salary range for this role, based in the United States of America is $21.50-$24.74. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to an individual's qualifications, location, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, employees are eligible to participate in one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
