Overview

Our creative and energized engineering team is looking for a Electrical Design Engineer to design and develop Analytical Instruments in the life science industries.

This individual will play a key role in new product introduction. The work will include research, design and development of new systems and devices which will be used to control, monitor, and regulate Pharma or Biotech processes in laboratory or production environments. This individual will be involved in designing print circuit board (PCB) and creating Firmware for new products control, as well as refining design for current products.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and development of electrical schematics and layouts under the guidance of senior engineers
  • Participate in testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems and components to ensure functionality and reliability
  • Conduct validation testing of electrical components and systems to ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards
  • Support the integration of electrical systems with mechanical and software components
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions that meet project requirements
  • Prepare technical documentation, including specifications, reports, and design drawings
  • Participate in project meetings to provide updates and gather feedback from stakeholders
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and best practices in electrical

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in electrical design
  • Experience with PCB design and manufacturing processes
  • Familiarity with electrical design software such as Altium or similar tools
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and practices, such as circuit design, analysis, and troubleshooting techniques
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information in both written and verbal formats
  • Knowledge of microcontrollers, control systems, and embedded systems.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as IEEE, IEC, UL, CE, USP, FDA, or GMP
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a willingness to learn
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Proactive attitude and a commitment to continuous improvement
  • Adaptability to a fast-paced and evolving work environment
