SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE: The maintenance technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety. This position is responsible for start-up of equipment, preventive maintenance, equipment change-overs, equipment/building repairs, basic/routine facility maintenance while following all safety measures. Assist manager and oversee the maintenance team. Lead projects, schedule repairs and maintenance to adhere to manufacturing schedule. Help with scheduling including time and labor. Update and create drawings or charts to adhere and contribute to matrix.

v Manage and lead maintenance team during projects, new roll outs or procedures. Assist the Facilities Manager as required.
v Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during operation and schedule equipment repairs/preventive maintenance service. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments to put back in safe working order.
v Perform regular basic preventive maintenance of equipment and facilities to detect faulty operations or equipment.
v Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing, calibrations, troubleshooting and repair of production equipment
v Perform hazardous waste management throughout facility.
v Read and interpret equipment manuals, drawings, work orders to perform service while keeping logs.
v Oversee projects, repairs or service done by outside vendors/contractors.
v Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all equipment and maintaining compliance with policies and procedures.
v Work with Engineering, IT and OT departments for projects and implementation.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education/Experience:
v High School Diploma, GED, certified trade or equivalent completion of a craft apprenticeship required.
v 6+ years of advanced mechanical, steam generator, electrical, plumbing, building, HVAC system repair or related experience required.
v Experience in industrial manufacturing with PLC, CAD, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electronically controlled equipment is preferred.
v Management skills and leadership required.
v Knowledge of 5S/6S techniques and Lean Manufacturing Skills.
v Knowledge of safety practices or Hazwoper training.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a knowledge of Excel spreadsheet software, Microsoft Word and be able to navigate ERP, CMMS, BMS websites and systems with ease. Type 40-60 WPM. Intermediate CAD or Solid Works proficiency.
Specialized Skills: Ability to read and interpret blueprints and Work Instructions.
Certificates and Licenses: Technical, Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing training and/or certifications required.
Physical ability: Needs to be able to stand for 8 hours a day, kneel, bend down, crawl, climb, lay down for work duties. Be able to carry up to 75 lbs. Wear required PPE.
