Your impact?

The Product Manager is responsible for developing and implementing the Process Analytical Group’s product strategies to accelerate awareness, adoption, growth, and profitability globally. The area of concentration will be the Variable Pathlength Solutions (VPE) for C Technologies, which are used in critical bioprocessing applications in protein concentration measurement in quality control labs, to formulation, process development and manufacturing.

This individual will take a leadership cross-functional role working with at minimum marketing, sales, manufacturing, operations, support, applications, and product development. Key metrics include; revenue growth, new application penetration, profitability, new product releases.

This role will be home based in the Bridgewater, NJ location.

Your responsibilities?

 

  • Champion all aspects of product commercialization and product life management for the Solo Product line and future related platforms targeting the biopharma and CMO/CDMO markets.
    • Create and drive commercial strategy for New Product releases
    • Product life cycle management for SoloVPE PLUS, software, service/support, and applications
    • Derive strategy and tactics to ensure YOY business growth and strong customer satisfaction
    • Obtain VOC that feeds improving PLM as well as new product development and/or product improvements.  Provide insights on customer needs for the Bioprocessing & related segments.  Anticipate customer and industry needs and champion these factors.
    • Support the global Sales organization, providing effective product positioning, sales tools, training, competitive analysis and in-field support as needed
    • Develop and recommend appropriate pricing and discounting
    • Assess business performance through KPI tracking.
    • Use data to drive recommendations of business decisions
    • Derive forecast to ensure accurate demand planning, product build and revenue attainment
    • Work with Operations and Customer Service to ensure on time delivery of products and services
    • Drive resolution of customer inquiries and complaints with required internal functions including Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and R&D
    • Liaise with Marketing to develop effective product collateral and campaigns

Qualifications

What we are looking for?

 

  • A BS degree or higher in a biological or engineering science discipline, with MBA is preferred
  • 5 years plus of experience in commercial product management, business management or sales and marketing
  • Product launch, commercialization experience.  Instrument/Software/Consumables full platform preferred.
  • PLM experience for a platform
  • Customer facing experience and the ability to build mutually beneficial, trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Hardware new product development/product line extension working experience
  • Software experience and a working understanding of the Agile approach to software development
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional, matrixed teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to take initiative, hold team members accountable for deliverables, and obtain support across departments
  • Strategic, tactical, and analytical thinking
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships & motivate others
  • Team player as well as individual contributor
  • Detailed oriented as well as flexibility to see the broader picture
  • Work experience in a larger mature business as well as faster paced environments preferred
  • Flexibility to travel ~15% + of time
