Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and driven Bioprocessing Sales Specialist to join our team, focusing on Process Analytics Products for downstream Process Analytical Technology (PAT) using variable pathlength technology and other spectroscopy techniques – such as Raman. This role is to support our Eu Central region but with countries/territories beyond Germany. This role presents an exciting opportunity to leverage cutting-edge technology to enhance bioprocessing workflows, across multilingual and cultural countries.

Responsibilities

  • Sales and Business Development: Drive sales and business development activities for Process Analytics Products within the German and surrounding country markets. Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, including biopharmaceutical companies, research institutions, and contract manufacturing organizations.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market analysis to identify new opportunities and trends within the bioprocessing industry. Monitor competitor activities and develop strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, product development, customer service, field application specialists, and technical support, to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies and customer satisfaction.
  • Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training and development programs to stay updated on the latest advancements in analytical technologies and bioprocessing.
  • Reporting: Produce regular sales reports and forecasts, offering insights to management on sales performance and market dynamics.
  • Sales Rigor and Effectiveness: Maintain sales rigor and effectiveness by managing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database i.e Sales Force and reporting systems efficiently i.e Tableau, PowerBI. Ensure accurate and timely data entry and analysis to support business decisions and sales growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Bioprocessing, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience in the bioprocessing or biotechnology industry, with a focus on Process Analytics Products and PAT. Experience selling into upstream bioprocessing or downstream bioprocessing or both is an advantage.
  • In-depth knowledge of the bioprocessing and biotechnology industries, including trends, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets. Ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies.
  • Strong focus on customer satisfaction and the ability to build long-term relationships with key accounts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present technical information effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve complex technical and business-related problems.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within Germany, as well as to other countries across EU, to meet with customers and attend industry events.
