Overview

We are a fast-growing, acquisitive global public company seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic Finance team. In this key role, you will support the Company’s global accounting operations and contribute to the monthly close and financial reporting processes in accordance with U.S. GAAP.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Technical Accounting, this position provides valuable exposure to the complexities of a multi-entity, international organization. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting skills, a hands-on approach, and the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

You will collaborate closely with Corporate Finance, Business Units, and Functional leadership to ensure accurate and timely financial results, and play an active role in continuous process improvements.

This is a hybrid role based out of our Waltham, MA headquarters and offers significant opportunities for learning and career advancement.

Responsibilities

 

  • Review supply agreements, purchase orders and invoices to ensure proper recognition of revenue under ASC 606Preparation of revenue and deferred revenue related journal entries to support the month-end and year-end closing process
  • Assist with technical accounting projects such as accounting for acquisitions, system implementations and other discrete projects
  • Preparation of balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Assistance with the analysis of month-end and quarter-end fluctuations in general ledger accounts
  • Coordination with external auditors to complete quarterly reviews and year-end financial statement audits in a timely manner
  • Assist in preparation of SEC filings
  • Supporting the department’s Sarbanes Oxley efforts
  • Providing solutions to improve departmental efficiencies
  • Collaborating closely with other departments in all accounting related matters

       

Qualifications

·         Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance

·         CPA preferred

·         3 to 5 years of Public Accounting experience preferred

·         Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, primarily related to revenue recognition issues

·         Willingness to learn quickly and take ownership

·         Highly detail oriented and organized in work

·         Ability to multitask and meet assigned deadlines

·         Strong verbal, written and presentation skills

·         Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

·         Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies

·         Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities; deadline oriented
