Overview

We are seeking a Field Application Scientist (FAS) to technically support Repligen's upstream product lines in the bioprocess industry. This individual will use their knowledge of cell culture process development, filtration and manufacturing to support customers and our sales team in pre- and post- sales opportunities.


The FAS will work closely with Repligen colleagues including sales account managers, product management, quality assurance, marketing and R&D scientists/engineers to ensure our products continue to serve the evolving needs of our customers in the bioprocessing industry.

 

This is a field-based position based in Singapore requiring domestic and occasional international travel.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

 

• Work in coordination with the Repligen sales team and product management to provide pre- and post- sales support to customers the XCell ATF systems, Spectrum Hollow Fiber, TFDF Technology and KrosFlo TFF System product lines. This will include responding to customer requests for technical support, giving technical seminars, performing product demonstrations, providing on-site/in-lab support, troubleshooting and assisting with the execution of voice of customer surveys.
• Analysis of global field data and preparation of updates to relevant business partners.
• Develop and execute project plans to meet customer needs using Repligen technologies.
• Draft detailed technical reports from customer interaction.
• Provide knowledge and customer feedback to product management and R&D for the continuous improvement of products and development of new products.
• Contribute to applications data and collateral generation.
• Present technical posters and seminars at trade shows and conferences.
• Involve or lead projects and assignments as part of the professional development opportunity.
• Develop and support customers as they move through the clinical pipeline from lab-scale to large scale solutions of continuous and intensified upstream process.

Qualifications

Qualifications:


• A Bachelors degree or higher in a scientific (biology/biochemistry) or engineering (chemical) field.
• 6+ years experience working in upstream process experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. A strong understanding of continuous and intensified cell culture in both process development and manufacturing scale is highly beneficial.
• Knowledge of perfusion, intensified process for different type of bioproducts including mAbs, vaccine or cell/gene therapy a plus.
• Working knowledge of scale-up/scale-down, tech transfer and cGMP requirements
• Knowledge and experience in upstream cell culture experience is a plus.
