We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President of AI, Data Governance, Business Intelligence, and Digital to lead enterprise strategy and execution across these critical functions. This leader will define and drive our AI strategy, partner with executives and business unit leaders to identify high-value opportunities, and establish data and digital roadmaps that enable growth and innovation. The role requires a rare blend of strategic vision and hands-on expertise, serving as both architect and driver of transformative initiatives that position Repligen for long-term success.

Responsibilities

  • AI Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute Repligen’s enterprise AI strategy in collaboration with the CIO, executive leadership, and business unit leaders. Identify, prioritize, and scale high-impact use cases in AI, machine learning, and automation, including emerging GenAI technologies.

  • Data Governance: Establish and oversee an enterprise data governance framework, including policies, standards, and best practices. Ensure strong data security, privacy, master data management, and metadata management.

  • Business Intelligence: Lead the design and adoption of BI tools and platforms to deliver actionable insights. Drive BI initiatives that turn data into a competitive advantage.

  • Technology & Partnerships: Evaluate, select, and integrate AI, automation, and BI technologies. Build a scalable infrastructure by working with external technology partners and internal stakeholders.

  • Digital Strategy: Partner across marketing, sales, development, and manufacturing to set and execute digital strategies that align with Repligen’s growth objectives.

  • Leadership & Collaboration: Serve as a trusted advisor to executives and business leaders by capturing the Voice of the Customer (VOC), aligning initiatives with business drivers, and presenting clear business cases and value propositions.

  • Measurement & Reporting: Define KPIs and track performance across AI, data governance, BI, and digital initiatives to ensure accountability and measurable impact.

Qualifications

Experience:

    • 15+ years in technology leadership with proven success driving complex, enterprise-wide initiatives.

    • 8+ years of direct experience in AI and automation, including scaling and deploying machine learning models and hands-on exposure to recent generative AI technologies.

    • 12+ years of experience in business intelligence, data governance, and master data management.

    • Deep expertise in data governance frameworks, BI, data warehousing, data engineering, and AI data preparation tools.

    • Track record of setting digital strategies in partnership with commercial, development, and manufacturing teams.

    • Strong balance of strategic leadership and hands-on implementation; ability to translate vision into practical outcomes.

    • Experience leading global AI and data initiatives within biotech and/or bioprocessing industries strongly preferred.

    Education

    • Bachelor’s degree required.

    • Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred (relevant industry experience may substitute).

    • Certifications in AI, digital strategy, or data management/BI are a plus.
