Overview

The Senior Director of Corporate Communications is a strategic leader responsible for developing and executing comprehensive communications strategies that advance the company’s reputation and strengthen relationships with stakeholders. This role spans corporate brand management, executive and internal communications, media engagement, crisis communications, and investor relations messaging. The Senior Director partners with senior leadership, financial stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure clear, consistent, and impactful communication that drives business performance and trust.  

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Communications Leadership
    • Develop and implement an integrated corporate communications and investor relations strategy that supports business objectives, strengthens reputation, and positions the company as a market leader.
    • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO, CFO, and executive team on strategic messaging.
    • Foster collaboration across marketing, HR, legal, and finance functions.
  • Media Relations & External Communications
    • Lead proactive media relations, including press releases, thought leadership, and corporate announcements.
    • Cultivate strong relationships with journalists, analysts, and industry influencers.
    • Serve as company spokesperson as needed.
  • Executive, Internal & Employee Communications
    • Develop and manage communication strategies for the CEO and leadership team, including speeches, presentations, and external engagements.
    • Lead internal communications programs that foster transparency, alignment, and employee engagement across the organization.
  • Investor Relations Communications
    • Partner with the CFO and finance leadership to craft investor-focused messaging, earnings releases, shareholder letters, annual reports, and investor presentations.
    • Ensure consistency of messaging across financial disclosures, media interactions, and corporate narratives.
    • Support engagement with institutional investors, analysts, and financial media by preparing briefing materials, Q&A documents, and talking points.
    • Monitor investor sentiment, industry trends, and peer communications to inform strategy.
  • Reputation & Crisis Management
    • Lead crisis and issues management communications, ensuring transparency, accuracy, and timely responses.
    • Develop protocols and training to prepare leadership and teams for sensitive communications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Finance, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in corporate communications and/or investor relations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Deep expertise in financial communications, including earnings, disclosures, and investor relations best practices.
  • Strong relationships with financial media and analyst community preferred.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and storytelling skills with executive-level presence.
  • Proven ability to manage crises and high-stakes communications.
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing teams in complex organizations.
