The CNC Programmer (Lead) is responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining CNC programs while providing technical leadership and mentorship to CNC programmers and Operators at our new manufacturing facility. This role partners closely with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure efficient, accurate, and compliant production, while supporting continuous improvement and team development.
• Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs for milling, turning, and multi-axis machines
• Serve as a technical lead and subject matter expert for CNC programming and machining processes
• Mentor and train junior CNC programmers and machinists on programming standards, best practices, and troubleshooting
• Review and approve CNC programs, setups, and tooling strategies
• Collaborate with engineering to support new product introductions and design for manufacturability
• Lead program prove-outs and support first article inspections
• Establish and maintain programming standards, documentation, and setup sheets
• Support and promote safety, quality, and compliance with company procedures
• Participate in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
• Technical certification in Manufacturing, Machining, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of CNC programming experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience supporting new equipment installs, facility startups, or production ramp-ups
• Advanced proficiency in G-code and CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, SolidWorks CAM)
• Strong knowledge of machining processes, tooling, materials, and GD&T
• Demonstrated experience mentoring and hands-on problem solving.

The estimated hourly rate/salary range for this role, based in the United States of America is $85,000-$100,000. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to an individual's qualifications, location, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, employees are eligible to participate in one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
