We are seeking an experienced and driven IT Business Partner to represent our Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Product Development, and R&D organizations. As a Director of IT, you will play a key role in aligning technology initiatives with business goals, driving efficiency, and enabling innovation across the bioprocessing manufacturing and product development lifecycle.

This position requires strong collaboration with business leaders and IT colleagues to evaluate, implement, and optimize technology solutions that enhance operational performance and compliance. The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of the bioprocessing industry, hands-on technical expertise, and a passion for driving business value through technology.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary IT liaison for the Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Product Development, and R&D organizations.
  • Partner with business and IT leadership to define and execute IT strategies that support operational and innovation goals.
  • Act as a trusted business advisor, ensuring technology initiatives align with business priorities and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to identify and prioritize high-impact opportunities in AI, automation, and analytics to improve quality, efficiency, and innovation.
  • Support system strategy and governance for critical business systems (SAP, QMS, PLM, MES, etc.).
  • Ensure technology solutions comply with GMP (Good Manufacturing Processes) and other regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with process owners to optimize SAP and other enterprise applications for manufacturing and R&D environments.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing principles.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external technology partners to support scalable and integrated solutions.
  • Develop business cases and value propositions for technology investments.
  • Lead IT projects and ensure delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.

Partner with executives and business unit leads to capture VOC (voice of the customer) and translate that feedback into evaluable, actionable tasks

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • 10-12 years of experience in IT roles supporting Manufacturing, Product Development, and R&D in bioprocessing, biotech, or life sciences.
  • Proven experience partnering with business leaders to define and deliver technology strategies.
  • Hands-on experience implementing or managing SAP, QMS, MES, PLM, or similar systems.
  • Expertise in GMP and regulatory requirements in bioprocessing.
  • Experience leading or supporting AI, automation, or data analytics initiatives in manufacturing or R&D from concept to production.
  • Demonstrated ability to build business cases and lead process improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and business audiences.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline preferred.

The estimated base salary range for this role, based in the United States of America is $156,074-$239,313. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to an individual's qualifications, location, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, employees are eligible to participate in one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package. We offer a wide range of benefits such as paid time off, health/dental/vision, retirement benefits and flexible spending accounts.
